3 Ways You Can Celebrate Women’s History Month at the Workplace

March is Women’s History Month! Women’s history month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. In light of this celebratory month, we at Transcendio Talent would like to bring to you three ways in which you can celebrate Women’s History Month in the workplace. Brought to you by Fond, here are three ways in which you can celebrate Women’s History Month while on the job.

Purple, Purple, Purple

A great way to support Women’s History Month is to make use of the color purple. The color purple is associated not only with International Women’s Day (March 8th) but also with the entire month of March for Women’s History Month. Decorate the office with purple decorations, on Fridays have a purple out where all office employees wear purple and have purple-themed food in the break room like cupcakes or grapes!

Celebrate Women on Social Media

One of the easiest ways to get involved with Women’s History Month is to celebrate women on your social media pages. Create a social media strategy to highlight women in your industry including your colleagues. Create sharable graphics with quotes from women in your office, craft a get-to-know-you post for women in your company, and share articles written by women.

Buy Something for a Women Who Inspires You

Buy something for the women who inspire you the most. Go to your local coffee shop and buy them a coffee or tea. Reach out to two or three women and invite them individually out to lunch. This could be a great way to meet new people at your office or to get to know a colleague better. You could even invite an inspirational family member as well like your mother, aunt, or grandmother.
